On April 19th we boarded our flying tube with wings, sat down, watched a movie, ate dinner and took a nap. After being in the air for 9 hours, 1 minute and 53 seconds (yes I timed that with my stopwatch from liftoff to touchdown), we found ourselves in Amsterdam. Of course, it was a day later and we were over 5000 miles from where we started. We made it quick and easy through the passport control, got our luggage and we boarded bus #300 for a short ride to our hotel in the City of Haarlem. We were greeted nicely at the reception desk at about 10:00am and advised to come back at about 2:00pm to check in. After a few hours of walking and sightseeing we were ready for a good nap, on a bed, and not in an airplane seat. The airplane seats are cool these days, as you can see by the picture below but, unfortunately we didn't pay enough to be able to fly in that seat. So now, it's time for a real nap, in a real bed. Updates are to follow about our Haarlem sightseeing from earlier today.
